Sweet geek t-shirts

This site has a great collection of clothing for our type of people. I should know I started it. I really like some of their designs. You should check them out if you get a chance. The company is called Spoken Visuals. The geek ascii art t-shirt (or sweatshirt if you prefer) is sweet.

T Shirts make great gifts for your gamer, geek, or computer nerd friends.

Blog Comment Spam

I just spent the last 45 minutes going through every post I've ever made and deleting spam comments. Over the last week I was hit with over 50 anonymous automated spam comments. Now here is the question, since goggle include the rel="nofollow attribute in all links made from comments on blogs, there is no search ranking benefit from this spamming. Point being that I'm recommending all people with blogger consider disabling anonymous comments. I realize this will prevent some legitimate users from leaving their thoughts, but some might think its worth it. I would encourage goggle to begin some sort of "type the letter sin the box verification system" for anonymous comments to keep automated bots of the comment warpath.

Javascript's usefulness

I'm sure that many of you are familiar with Javascript, and have probably seen those multilevel drop down scripts. What you probably haven't seen is a multilevel dropdown script integrated with a scroller script, a cross browser compatibility script, and a content switcher. I just wanted to let you know that I'm working on a project right now, and that my post may be sparse but I should have something for you in a bit.

Finding resources for publishing a poetry website online

Try our luck and leave a comment if you find anything good

This is goign to be a mix between a personal plea for help and a lament for all writers int he world who are frusturated about web publishing.
In addition to the other things I dabble in I write a little. nothing extrodinary mind you but decent enough that I'd like to include it on my personal website. Now it's important to understand that I redesign my personal website ever few years and that in between updates are few and far between. In an effort to correc this I found a free hosting company that enables PHP and gathered a couple of content managment scripts scripts for my next big redesign. Now I'm a fair hand with programming for web, I can do my own javascript for the most part and most things in PHP are alright too as long as I'm just editing an existing script. One frustration I ran into was that I couldn't find any really good CMS scripts for poetry.
I tried using some of the ones for news but they didn't meet my requirements. I needed to be able to post, edit and control, new poems through an admin interface to save time, I needed to be able to back-up my database, and I needed to be able to sort by genre, general time periods (MS, HS, recent) and to sort alphabetically. If anyone out here knows of one that would be awesome. If your willing to write one then I'm happy to trade a graphical website layout (check out my portfolio kwarnerdesign.com )for the script. After all could one of the people who writes yet another image gallery script not divert there efforts into a much needed and lacking are?
